The map provided here is based on the postcode of the venue.
Royal mail are very good at allocating postcodes to buildings
but much less good at lakes and rivers. Therefore where a
venue does not really have a postcode I have tried to find a
postcode that is as close as possible to the venue. This might
be that of a nearby hotel or even the village post office. You
should therefore always ensure you have proper directions
for the last half-mile or so to the venue.

caught my limit of 4 fish the best of which was a fin perfect rainbow (as were all the fish)of 3Lbs2oz. lovely venue very well maintained 7 the water quality was good & clear. Saw a Tench swim passed my feet & it was at least 8Lbs. only thing stopping me giving this place a 5star rateing is there was a NO catch & release policy which could have made my stay very short if i had not of paced myself. come on Pat let us do catch & release as us Fisherman do look after our quarry.

I paid   :  £20 for a 4 fish limit
Stayed :  8:30am till 3pm
Caught :  Rainbows
Best fly:  Black Buzzer on a dropper& a Sedge on the point
Tactics :  Distance casting

Hav enjoyed fishing both lakes evertime, the top lake is ideal for beginers who cast a short line to reach the fish. the second larger lake is a good all rounder with hard fighting rainbow & browns. an enjoyment to fish in the summer.

Outstanding!

I used to fish this venue 3 years ago before joining private syndicate. Its great for beginners and also challenging for competent fly fishers. If you hook a fish in the bottom lake then expect a good fight. Pat Gregory is a very nice chap indeed and Im sure youll still see him fishing on a good evening rise. The lakes are well maintained, spring fed, and rare forna is protected during certain times of year. There was a review of this venue in Trout Fisherman in 2003. Ill try to find the magazine and put the exact issue detail on line.

Agree? Disagree? If you know this
water why not add your own review?
